Results
This tool uses common 7-type body shape rules. Results are approximate and for style guidance only.
Use this Bikini Calculator to estimate your closest body-shape category from your bust, waist, high-hip, and hip measurements. It also provides general swimwear style suggestions based on your proportions.
How the Bikini Calculator Works
The calculator compares your body measurements using differences and ratios such as:
Waist-to-hip ratio = waist ÷ hips
Curve ratio = max(bust ÷ waist, hips ÷ waist)
It also compares:
- Bust and hip measurements
- Bust-to-waist difference
- Hip-to-waist difference
- High-hip proportion
These proportions are compared with the calculator’s body-shape rules to estimate categories such as hourglass, top hourglass, bottom hourglass, spoon, triangle, inverted triangle, or rectangle.
Example
Suppose the measurements are:
- Bust: 36 in
- Waist: 27 in
- High hip: 35 in
- Hips: 37 in
Bust − waist = 36 − 27 = 9 in
Hips − waist = 37 − 27 = 10 in
Waist-to-hip ratio = 27 ÷ 37 ≈ 0.73
Because the bust and hips are relatively close while the waist is smaller, the calculator may identify this measurement pattern as an hourglass-style shape.
Important Notes
- Measure around the fullest part of the bust and hips, and around the natural waist.
- Keep the measuring tape level and snug without compressing the body.
- Use the same unit for every measurement.
- Body-shape categories are approximate styling labels, not health or fitness assessments.
- Many people fall between two or more shape categories.
- This calculator does not determine your exact bikini or swimsuit size.
- Actual fit depends on the brand’s size chart, cup and band fit, torso length, fabric stretch, coverage, support, and personal preference.
