What Is Included in the Package?
The generated favicon.ico contains 16×16, 32×32 and 48×48 versions for browser and desktop compatibility. You can also create PNG icons for browser tabs, Apple devices, Android devices and web applications. When app-icon sizes are selected, the package includes a site.webmanifest file.
The tool also generates matching HTML link elements. Upload the favicon files to your website’s public or root directory and place the provided code inside the page’s <head> section.
Getting a Clear Favicon
Favicons are displayed at very small sizes, so a simple square logo, symbol or bold letter normally works better than detailed text. Check the 16×16 preview before downloading. Adding padding can prevent the image from touching the icon edges.

What size should my source image be?

Where should favicon files be uploaded?
